A 4 person sauna is where a home sauna starts to feel like a room rather than a cabinet, and 5 or 6 person saunas are the usual choice for apartment amenities, gyms and hotels. This collection gathers 61 large saunas: 18 low-EMF carbon cabins, 16 far infrared, 10 full spectrum, 6 red light therapy saunas, 6 outdoor saunas, 4 US-standard models and one traditional sauna.
Exterior widths run from 150 to 200 cm (about 59–79 in). A useful rule of thumb is around 60 cm (24 in) of bench per seated person, so a four person sauna often uses an L-shaped or two-tier bench rather than one long row. Corner models such as the MS-FS56 4-Person Corner Full Spectrum and Carbon Infrared Sauna fit the angle of a room. For 6 person sauna dimensions, compare interior bench length, depth and ceiling height on each product page, and check the sauna dimensions guide for bench heights and layouts.
| Rated power | Current at 120V | Current at 230V |
|---|---|---|
| 2,150 W | 17.9 A | 9.3 A |
| 2,800 W | 23.3 A | 12.2 A |
| 3,475 W | 29.0 A | 15.1 A |
Because of these loads, 58 models list a 220–240V build; 48 also list 110–120V. Every large sauna needs a dedicated circuit, so check the figures in the power calculator and have an electrician size the breaker.
Red cedar is listed on 53 models and hemlock on 49. A cedar sauna has a warm reddish color and a natural aroma, and cedar is the usual wood for outdoor builds. Hemlock is pale, even-grained and nearly scent-free. Read red cedar vs hemlock for a deeper comparison.
The price of a large home sauna depends mainly on capacity, wood, heater type and how much is customized; we quote per order. For hotels, gyms and spas, see the commercial saunas collection.

Saunas for four to six people in this collection measure 150 to 200 cm (about 59 to 79 in) wide on the outside. Allow roughly 60 cm (24 in) of bench per seated person; many four person saunas use an L-shaped or two-tier bench. Each product page lists exterior and interior dimensions.
Rated power runs from 2,150 to 3,475 W. At 230V that is about 9 to 15 A; at 120V it would be 18 to 29 A. That is why most large saunas are built for 220–240V. Plan a dedicated circuit and have an electrician confirm the breaker size.
Cost depends on capacity, wood, heater type, controls and customization, plus freight and installation. We quote per order based on the models, quantities and destination you send. Our guide on how much a sauna costs explains buying, building and running costs in more detail.
Yes. The outdoor line includes barrel and cabin saunas for four or more, such as the MS-OD02 2-4 person barrel with a 6 kW electric stove and the MS-OD04 4-8 person traditional barrel. Some outdoor models also use wood-burning stoves. Plan a level base and a covered electrical supply.
Neither is better in every case. Red cedar has a reddish color, a natural aroma and is the usual choice outdoors. Hemlock is pale, uniform and nearly scent-free, which suits buyers who prefer a neutral interior. In this collection, red cedar is listed on 53 models and hemlock on 49.
