About outdoor saunas
Outdoor saunas are built to stand in a garden, on a deck or at a resort. Barrel saunas use curved staves held by steel bands; cube and cabin designs use flat walls with a roof system and large glass fronts. Heat comes from an electric stove or a wood-burning stove, so they run at traditional sauna temperatures.
Several models in this line can be built to custom sizes, from 1–2 person cubes to 6–10 person cabins with porches. Plan the foundation, drainage, stove clearances and electrical supply with a local installer, and ask us for the drawings of the exact build.

Do outdoor saunas need a foundation?
Yes. A level, well-drained base such as a concrete pad, pavers or a timber deck is needed. Barrel saunas sit on cradles that spread the load. Ask for the base drawing for your model.
Electric or wood-burning stove?
Electric stoves are simpler to control and suit resorts and homes with power available. Wood-burning stoves suit off-grid sites and buyers who want a fire. Local rules on chimneys and electrical work apply to both.
Can outdoor saunas be customized in size?
Several cube and cabin models are offered in custom sizes and layouts, including porch and window options. Send the space and capacity you need.
